About the painting: This was not as easy as I had hoped! Image started on my ipad, only to move to the computer (and suffer the resulting weird colours which - I HOPE - I've corrected). I had to take a break from it for a while because it was just not working, but, having returned to it, spent some more time, I think it's good enough for now. There isn't much I can add to or improve until my skill increases :)

:iconrnspice: - I really hope you like her! And that the much anticipated portrait isn't a let down. I tried to incorporate the physiognomy you described, so...well, I hope you like :)

I especially love the eyes - I'd been a real pain by describing them as 'expressive', but you completely nailed it!
